From the beginning

OK. Here it is. This was taken while we were in the process of closing. I know the tree is ugly and dead. The grass, or what grass, and man this thing needs a face lift! Well that's what is so exciting about this whole adventure! We are starting with an open mind and loads of ideas!

Here is another photo that was taken from the MLS and before the house went in to foreclosure obviously. See there is some great potential for this little one, ya!

Jared is a planer. I can not even begin to tell you about the lists he makes, binders he has, and what this guy is really all about. He has been using photo shop to come up with before and "after" designs to make this dream come to life!

Now isn't this fun! K we these are things on the massive "to do" list that is taped to our fridge because we have no magnets yet ....

Paint - It is an old house. It was built in the 1950's and who knows when the last paint job was done. From a far, it do not  look horrible but oh it is. We need a good power washing and replace a lot of the trim. It's all good, thats what we have Jared for.

Stone accent - We are also thinking that once we paint the exterior, we are going to add some type of mid century stone accent to the front of the house. It would add more character to the house and we can lose that dead bush in the front that is there now. Along with the accent we would like and are thinking of adding some type of planters unter the huge 9 foot window that we have. Ya?

Landscaping- This is just a little idea of what we are thinking. We actually have a pretty big front yard. In this sketch, there is quite a bit of grass so changes may be made because really do either of us know anything about yard work? We will learn but it is also Vegas. It is hot and things die. But an idea.

Car port - Globe lights will be added two or maybe a cluster. We were really lucky to come in to quite a few globe lights for free and all sizes. We will see.

Door - THe red one has to go. I hate nothing more then a red door! THis one we have now is so light anyhow that Lula could kick it is!

Because we are poor kids here, The outside will just have to wait a bit. It is what inside that really counts right?
